Tried to register with B4Usearch but wouldn't let me because I could not provide a mobile 'phone number. It advertises 10 free searches but not in my case. Even 10 free electoral roll searches is not enough to make me buy one of those darned things. Jean x.

Jean, that is terrible- they should not assume that everyone has a mobile phone. Do they have an e-mail address that you could contact them?

Why on earth do these sites insist on having your phone number of any sort?? I dont trust things like that and I'll not register at all if they wont settle for just an email address.....

Ann, Could not be bothered to e.mail them. It is their loss. If I had got any joy from the site I might have taken out a subscription. Anne, I'm inclined to agree with you. Have no idea why they would want a 'phone number when they have an e.mail address. Daniel, Being a 'golden oldie' and honestly not interested in a mobie don't really know much about them and you had to put your number and then choose your supplier from a drop down list. Be just my luck to choose a supplier that didn't match the number. Jean x.
