But new trees keep springing up when Ms Double marries Mr Barrel.

Hiya Elizabeth Trees do die, I'm sorry to say. I live in hope that someone with my maiden name will contact me. There's about 10 families in the Uk with my surname but none of them are 'My Family'. My dad was an only child, he had one male cousin who never married and is now nearly 60. My brother is nearly 50 and has no children. I took the liberty of appending my maiden name to my two sons' dad's name (aged 14 and 16) in the hope that they will have children ( BUT NOT YET !!!). I keep hoping to find a link from my great grandfather's siblings but haven't managed it yet. let's keep our fingers crossed someone will find us .. xxx Annie

I can only see that a family line could peeter out if the last born child/children do not have any of their own, but it seems pretty unlikely that a whole generation would never have any children. Oops.....just seen the above posts - seems like I was wrong :O

Pimbury was in Your Family Tree Magazine. He had I think 4 uncles in Canada but all died without male heirs. How unlucky for the name.
