you are right about the irish Pat ,it,s the only country i knew of as a driver ,where,i got to a destination at five in the morning ,on a cold winters dayand parked out side the small factory to wait for opening time.I hadn,t been there ten minutes before a lady knocked on the window and insisted i go into her house to get warm, and have breakfast with the family Hospitality or what ,and then they took the small pallet for me so that i could continue on my way. They and the yorkshire people are the salt of the earth.Fred.ptfg.

How about this one I went on the hunt for someone from one of the boards near where I live (Just outside Dublin) they actually want info in the town I live in which is Bray. The person was Catholic the birth was the 1870's I asked at the local Catholic Church (who do not know me) and they wanted to know why I wanted the information and then said I quote "I presume this person you want the info on is dead" I spontaniously said I hope so, I got a funny look but eventually with persistence got the baptismal ino I needed. I have some Irish Ancestors but have put off the day I have to look that part of the family up, And I LIVE HERE!!! The Irish are friendly and are characters but they move in mysterious ways at times!!! Sorry Theresa, no offence. Joy Dunmanway and Bantry are nice, bit remote for me though. Pat x
