Karen When I was little we didn't have many holidays. The first was when I was about 8. We went on a caravanning holiday in Pagham and it rained every day except for one. We stayed cooped up in the caravan playing board/bored games. A couple of years ago we took our kids for a week's holiday in the Vendee, France. We got lost on the way down from Boulogne and when we arrived the trailer camp was in darkness. When we finally located our trailer the key wasn't where it was supposed to be and we couldn't find the campsite manager. We tried to sleep in our (not designed for it) car but there was a violent storm - hardly any rain but a lot of lightning & thunder. Our kids were very excited and didn't try to sleep, my husband was tired, cramped and grumpy, but I said to him "this will be funny in a few weeks' time so we might as well think its funny now". nell

I'm glad you had a good time karen, my sister went to cornwall last week and they drove to boscastle but couldn't get into the village, she sent me a postcard of how it used to look. jenny x

i have just come back off holiday from cornwall we had two rather soggy muddy weeks we were at bude only just up the road from boscastle and the only reason we hadnt gone there was because i had food poison from a pasty which i used to love .its a holiday i wont forget. p.s i forgot we were on the a39 atlantic highway and a stone hit our car windscreen and now its got a big crack across it. still love cornwall though lol karen with web feet
