Lisa, I went to school right beside the Arsenal (Holloway Road) and have always supported the gunners, in the 1970's through the bad times of football hooliganism I stayed clear of any London teams and tried to support non Londoners, Liverpool and West Brom(all the ancestors seem to come from there) although I still could not help myself checking how Arsenal were doing. And even to this day I still feel happy when the Gunners are on top, I come from the days when Pat Rice, Bob Wilson were in the team, Can't help showing my age on these boards LOL> Go on you Gunners..............By the way I can't understand how my eldest son is a Newcastle fan, brought him to Newcastle to see his heroes, after they had come to where we lived and I still do not understand how the gunners dont do it for him..... ah well at least he likes footie my younger son can't understand why we are fotties fans!!!! he cannot understand why we get so excited about the GAME>> is he my child, I reckon because his father is not a footie fan he is his fathers son...what a shame..... Pat x

Even though I live 'up north' I support Arsenal. It's worth it just to wind up everyone around here! I do like to see how the Yorkshire teams are doing though. (My hubbies an Owls fan, although he's not very supportive!) My grandad lives next door to Doncaster Rovers boss Dave Penny. That's my vicarious claim to fame!
