Today, according to GC, I have 33794 new matches to names in my tree. Why can I only see the same old stuff? It's been like this for the past year or more. Who are these people and how can I view these names?

Re. matches in trees.....I have a suspicion that the name count on GC/GR is deceptive, for example, of my family name there is listed 87. of those i know several family members that have added their own short version of a tree. I actually have 39 individual names in my tree, on Genes. the others are duplicates..maybe with a slight variation the "where born" entry, and Circa, dates Bob

As i'm on here daily i've change my interval to 1 day, therfore it only shows the names add in the last 24 hrs. If you click on the envelope next to the name that matches, it will give you a first name and member number. If i find that the same member has listed 3 or 4 of the people in my tree, then i'll send them a request via that envelope. Once have made contact with that person, the system then states contacted next to all of the names added by that member. i.e if a new name appears the next day and has not got 'contacted' marked next to it, then i know it's one to look at. Hope that make sense? Mel :-) in Oz.
