Glenys the Menace!

Glenys the Menace! Report 8 Sep 2004 16:36

Hi, Karen - don't worry, it's waiting for you somewhere - you just don't know where it is at the moment! We've just taken on our 5th rescue cat (we originally only had 2), a beautiful little tortoiseshell female who looks about 8 months old. We'd fostered her for 4 weeks while we were waiting for her owners to claim her, but that didn't happen. So the RSPCA and CPL gave their blessing for us to have her. Now she is our little Topsy, who's joined Chloe, Midge, Pepper and Sooty in the Laird feline clan. Luckily, they all get on OK. Be patient - and when you get Puss, give him/her/them a hug from me! Ta! Glenys x

The cats were either reserved or not allowed in your area. Isn't that a sign?? What about a cute little puppy or dog? They need homes too, Mel:-)

(and they're right) i'm sure the right cat will come along, its my eldest thats been on about getting another cat(it'll be 1yr in nov) but i've not been so sure but recently i've softened, karen

This brings back memories for me, we tried to home a new cat, but was advised to wait for a year, I was heartbroken after having our previous cat put down, (always remember that day 11th aug, year of eclipse!). We eventually managed, with all thanks going to Wood Green Shelter, at Huntingdon, Cambs. We have a lovely black and white boy, called Nelson, due to patch on eye!. I wish you luck, am sure you will have one with you shortly, Here's hoping..

well i said i'd keep you updated, paul and i went along yesterday, armed with tissues, and the first cat we saw was the spitting image of kizzy which started me off straight away, anyway most of the cats that were there were already reserved for homes(which is good)and the ones that weren't couldn't be homed in our area. so we are now waiting for a call from another rescue place although we phoned yesterday afternoon and still haven't had a reply, keep you posted, karen
