Go to www(.)mapquest(.)co(.)uk, click on maps, then latitude and longitude. Not entirely sure how it works, but I got somewhere off the coast of Africa.

Yep, Heather, you are about right but actually about 7 degrees south of the Cape Verde( Porto Grande) isles, and a little more west. Doesn't seem to be any landfall thereabouts, though.........Bob

thank you heather and bob. i really wanted to find out as the great uncle that died still has a brother thats alive(96yrs) and he knew his brother drowned but had no idea where etc and for 80something years hes wondered,now i've got the cert i can tell him, thanks, karen

Karen. The location you mention is in the mid Atlantic Ocean, roughly midway between Sierra Leone on the west coast of Africa and French Guiana on the east coast of South America.
