My mum was saying the same thing to me last night; she lives near a primary school and watches the children laughing and skipping down the road on their way in the mornings. It upset her to think that the children in Russia were like that on their last morning. A friend of mine lost her teenage daughter to a rare illness a few years ago, and the only thing I could say to her was that at least she died surrounded by lots of love and support - she didn't die terrified witless. Those poor children, how any human being could do that, I really don't know.

i think with alot of them being brought up in a communist country it was a very strict regime.they must have had hard times in there lives when they were young.maybe it was the shockxxxxx):

Lisa I think what makes it worse that they ar'nt a huggy nation they sort of pat each other, none of the children, that I saw, where wrapped in big bear hugs or anything, and the women stood apart and alone in their grief, did you notice that.

ann that's not shallow.i bought a paper today that didn't have there little faces on the front.the bit that really upset me was the little boy that was sitting on the floor next to the terrorist that had his foot on a detonater.he had sheer terror on his face.and the thing that pains me so much is that that little boy probebly didn't stand a chance.that image will haunt me for the restof my lifex):

I'm feeling really shallow because I can't bear to look at the haunted faces of the children or read the horrors that they have been through, I just can't face it. Lynda
