For the 2 days this site was down do they add 2 extra days to your account? I have just posted to Feedback requesting that they add 2 days to everyones account. I suggest that you all do likewise. Wayne |

Hi Wayne and fellow board members. What actually happens when maintainance is done? ...can anyone out there tell me why (last night) the Genes site was not accessable? Instead of them saying "we'll be back shortly" they should have said "for a period of 24hrs (at least)" I could contact GR/GC direct to ask...but going by the comments on this board...replies and answers to queeries are few and far between. I've only been a member for a little while...does this 'shutdown' happen regularly? ....Babz |

Hi Babz No it doesn't happen very often and - frustrating as it is - all sites (especially as busy as this) have to close for routine maintenance every now and again. David |

I came on here Saturday at 6pm and there is was gone was beggining to think the site was gone forever ,still i bet we all got jobs done that we have been meaning to do. Margaret |

And all the maintenance has NOT removed the bugs. I just found some possible relatives but when I clicked the names I got an error message instead of the contact member page |

Hi everyone, It is a horrid morning in London but I refuse to moan because GR is back and once again I can read sad, happy, helpful threads, etc. I will not say anything bad about this site again I have missed it sooooo much for the 2 days it was down. Wayne Why all the fuss, 2 days moneyback will come to about 4-6p!! If you are ill & unable to function, you stay at home dont you? you dont go into work when you are unable to do work. Well something went wrong with Genes which has taken 2 days to be fixed. Genes was unable to function so was not avaliabe for us to use. Two days out of 365 days, that we have had to find something to do, yes withdrawal has been hard but can we all be glad its back instead of whining ? Elaine x (wheeee its back...ha ha ) |

Hmmm. Site down two days at 2p a day (not counting the mess today). 17million members x 4p Not a bad profit is it? I suppose some may think the administrators deserve it, but perhaps they should have been prepared before buying out other sites, and maybe thought a little more about the members they already had.
