Judy has got a thread on the second page of the tips board - click on her name, then send her a message. I haven't found Crista's yet.

Can you tell me how to contact Judy or Crista, I don't know them. My Atlas is nothing special it's called "New Concise Atlas of the Earth".

You could send a private message to Judy or Crista - they're bound to know! By the way, what sort of atlas have you got? Maps have always fascinated me.

It might be just the latter. I put "birth certificate" in the search box and it came back with 130 hits. Some were just professionals wanting to get one for you - if they can do it, why not you?!

No I haven't. Do you think it will answer my question, or just explain where to obtain them - assuming I am a relative?

Does anyone know anything about obtaining an American birth certificate ? I would like a copy of birth certificate of someone born in America for some local history research I am interested in. When I contacted the Vital Statistics office in question (by e-mail) their e-mailed reply was a form asking what relation you are to the person on the certificate. If you are not related, how can you obtain a certificate? Not like in the UK where any BMD certificate can be obtained by anyone.
