Joy of joys..... I have been called to a meeting today with some colleagues and it looks like we are going to be put at risk.... meaning I could be jobless fairly soon!! There are 2 ways I can look at this.... dread and fear or that the powers above are telling me that it is time for a clean slate and without this job I can move anywhere I like!! It's mind numbingly scary but I keep thinking what am I supposed to learn from all this?

Diana I think everyone goes through these runs of bad luck at one point or another - the key is in how you deal with it... some crumble and fall apart, some get stronger and fight through it. Sounds to me like you're a fighter. You'll be fine. Good Luck though. Paul

Have a good cry it will make you feel better. Everything has a reason, this may be for you to make a fresh start. It is the beginning of your life, not the end. If your job is gonna go, wave it bye bye. Let there be no love lost. You will find something else. All you need is your health & hopefully you have that still. So B*gg*r the rest ! Elaine x

Diana, I have now been made redundant 5 times. Each time something came up. The first time was the best thing that happened to me. I had been with the company for 5 years since leaving school. I walked straight into a new job with a 50% pay rise. If I had not been made redundant I would not even have been looking elsewhere. So look on the bright side. There are better jobs out there. Hope this helps Bob

diana this is all for a reason, take it in your stride, its the start of a new beginning for you, you have the new home, and now you can think about your job, do you want to stay in the same thing or take on a new challenge. Good luck and don't get down sandra

di i shouldn't worry.just look at it as being an end of an era and wiping the slate clean.i know that a job isn't the same as splitting up with your husband but a new start which includes a new job could only mean better things.how long have you been there?xxxx(:

Hi Diana - as Paul says, you're a fighter so you can get through this. They say these things happen for a reason, and it's only later that you find out why (though it may take time, as it did in my case!) These experiences make you a stronger person, although you may not think that at the time. Good luck! Let us know how you get on. Glenys. x
