Hi I would tell him. I was ordering something from a furniture shop on credit recently and I was about to give the salesman my card details by reading them out but he stopped me. He told me that there have been cases where other people have been listening in to similar coversations and typing the card numbers etc into their mobile phones. Criminals don't even need good memories now to remember details, just a mobile phone to record the details for fraudulent use later. Something to remember. Lynne

My first reaction was let him carry on. But then i thought, was it definatly his card and not someone elses? So on balance I would write. There is no need to give your name though. Bob

I was travelling by public transport when another traveller decided to order something via his mobile phone. I was not eavesdropping, - you couldn't NOT hear the loud conversation. He then gave his credit card number, security code and his name and address. I feel like writing him a note telling him that I have forgotten the numbers but that I can't vouch for the rest of the many passengers.
