know how that feels christine, few weeks ago we had water come thro roof, daughter woke me up at somut like 3am saying it was raining outside and dripping on her bed. we had a builder we knew give us a quote and insurance said it was covered, job done daughters ceiling repaired, paid builder, he gave us bill to send to insurance, now they want his VAT number, hes hasnt been so quick to give us that. after lot of calls to him i think we will have to give up and say tara to the money.

Funny you should say that, they are coming out next week for annual check, didn't realise the tank would have been covered by this,(tank was damaged by past cowboy who installed power shower!). Somebody at work said same thing, am £238,out of pocket now!.

New tank now in loft,left with soaking wet ceiling!, hope all is well now!..

oh christine how awful, i do hope it doesn't cause to much damage, a couple of years ago i had water come through the kitchen ceiling it was a nightmare. Lets hope you can get a plumber quickly. If the ceiling is bowing and you haven't done so all ready poke a small hole in it to release the water make sure you have buckets etc for it to go into.it helps prevent you losing a ceiling let us know how things go, thinking of you sandra

Good morning folks, not so here, i'm afraid, got woke up at 3am, water dripping through bedroom ceiling!.. Am now ringing round plumbers, help!
