definately, lost all my stuff on the computer at the weekend due to sp2 installation. I had backed a lot up previously but all the recent census images found on ancestry gone, have to start over. a total pain.......... Diane

hi paul and most of us have learnt the hard way, luckily for me i only lost 2 photos that had been sent to me, when my pc died,and having 3 trees on the go i was lucky to have the info on a gedcom else wear, so it wasn't to traumatic as well as a hard copy. But what a fright!! have a good day lol sandra

I am very belt and braces with my tree especially - and the photos we have scanned. cant be too careful these days can you I have copies of my tree on disc in this country and Australia - which can be updated at anytime. also have paper back-ups as well
