Sue from Wakefield Report 27 Sep 2004 23:26

Hi Sue (from Otley) I will have to get my kids to make me a badge lol. Me, you and Sue Smith will have to put our surnames on to save confusion!!. I hope the archive centre brings my elusive ancestors with them. Especially the ones who thought it would be a good idea to only use the names William or William Henry...who mostly like their wives to be called Elizabeth or Mary...and who changed their ages whenever they felt like it!! Sue xx

Hi All Not been around for a few days & my word you've all been busy!. Great that this is going ahead for definite. And yes, i'm excited too at the prospect of meeting you & putting faces to names. I am coming from Normanton by car, so can share with Sue Dale if she wants, or seeing we both live locally, would it be easier if we both brought cars to ferry those on public transport? Will fit in with whatever. Seems to be Joanne in charge, so will wait for instructions! Thanks for getting this off the ground Joanne. Helen

Hi I haven't been on here for a few days so great to see everyone sounding so excited about the event! Is there anyone else out there interested in joining us? So far I have the following names: 1. Me! 2. Sue Smith in WY 3. Sue Dale in Normanton 4. Russell (tracing my family history) 5. Helen Proctor in Normanton 6. Susan from Otley 7. Sheila Wray 8. Lou from Leicestershire 9. Brenda Mills in Oldham 10. Jenny in Tynemouth 11. Keith Red Devil Lou - Brewsters is probably a couple of miles from the train station. Let me know what time you can get to the train station and we'll see what we can do to help you. So far I'm picking Susan (from Otley) up from the station and taking to Cathedral School and taking Susan, Sheila and possibly Sue Smith to Brewsters from the school. If there is any other names to add to any of above just let me know. Can't wait to meet you all! Joanne
