Has anyone seen the tribute band Talon, with their tribute to the Eagles? My wife and I saw them last night and they were excellent . . . just like the original Eagles.

Hi Brian No I haven't seen that particular band but I've seen one called the B'Eagles. They're very good too. There's a pub a couple of miles from me that has live music on every night of the week (except Christmas day!). I've seen some great tribute bands there. If you're ever up this way, come along for a great night out! Jeanette x

Jeanette. I don't live too far from East Yorkshire. My son lives near Scarborough, and we will be visiting him this weekend, what's the name of the pub?

Hi Brian Where abouts are you then? The pub is the Springhead (not to be confused with Springhead Club or Springers!), Aston Road, Willerby, near Hull. They have a website - www.springheadpub(.)co(.)uk This Friday they have a Bruce Springsteen tribute playing and on Saturday they have Nazereth - looks like it could be the originals. Nazereth could be tickets only so it might be worth giving them a ring if you fancy it. They should hold your tickets at the door for you. I haven't made any firm plans to go this weekend but I haven't seen either of these bands. We usually go with a couple of friends of ours but Karens Dad is very poorly at the moment. So it will probably be a last minute arrangement. Jeanette x

I seem to remember there being a few tribute bands play the student union when I was at university down in Hertfordshire a few years ago. We had The Bootleg Beatles, The Counterfeit Stones - most excellent, plus there were two Oasis tribute groups - Noasis and Oasisn't. The guy I wouldn't mind seeing is Chinese Elvis who entertains his guests at this restaurant in Tunbridge Wells. Will have to check it out when I next see my brother who lives down there now.

One of the guitarists from a U2 tribute band called U2UK live down the road from me. They are very good, if they are on near you, go and see them. Margaret

Andy I've seen Oasisn't. I think I might have seen the Bootleg Beatles too. There's so many Beatles tributes around. Chinese Elvis sounds interesting! lol If you ever get the chance to see The Beach Boys Inc don't miss it. They're brilliant! Or come along to the Springhead on December 12th. Don't forget your surfboard! lol Jeanette x

Jeanette, Looks like a decent set of acts that play at the Springhead, just had a look at their website. October looks like being a corkin' month - Bowie, Nirvana, AC/DC, Led Zep, The Who tributes. If only I lived locally, lol. A.

Andy I haven't got a spare bed but the couch is very comfy! lol I haven't seen quite a few of next months line up yet. I have seen the Bowie tribute twice though and no doubt will be going again. They do an excellent Ziggy Stardust straight into Suffragette City! Jeanette x

I've seen one of the Beatles tribute bands (can't remember which one) and they were fantastic. Everything about them was perfect, sound, clothes even the guitars they played were exactly right. I'm a great original Beatles fan, saw them in the early 60's. Showing my age now!! I wouldn't mind seeing the Beach Boys Inc., they sound good.
