Well done she is welcome here any time if she has any left I loooove em, my son wanted a chocolate cake for his 10th birthday so he made it, oooooh it was to dye for, kids seem to be able to make all the things we love but shouldn't eat :( Bev

If you've got any milk that's gone off ( but not lumpy!) use it for scones - they will really rise well. Not sure of the science behind it - but it works. Magsx

i was hopeless at school.made a square yule log with ovaltine and salted butter.not suprisingly it was a hit at the dinner table!xx

I am sure the results are a reflection of the interest in cooking! I hate cakes and the results when I cook them make all who taste hate them too. But my daughter (age 15) loves cooking them and her sponge cake is one to die for. Light, fluffy and so tasty and moorish. I must see if I have any eggs, butter, sugar.........

sandra not really a pastry maker.i think she'll do alright when she goes it alone.she's only twelve and she can iron.wash up make a pot of tea and bake cakes.alot of children can't even make their beds in the morning!xxxx(:

well done to your daughter, i have never been able to make scones even with a packet mix, but my cakes and pastry are ok.thankgoodness lol sandra

i hate to say this but my daughter can cook better than me.she has just made scones at school and that's not the only thing she has made and it has turned out better than mine.well done lauren.your cooking tonight!!!!xxx(:
