Have tried to log on tonight and all I get is 'page cannot be displayed'

for those of you who use MSN as your main web page you will find for some reason it says that TYFH is not available. I have found by using google and yahoo it takes you through to the homepage of this site providing you click the right links. Cheers Ernest

I'm on lots of sites, as are others. And if you look on the tips board you will see best websites list compiled kindly by Deb - there are loads, mainly free ones. Joy PS just been having fun in 'chat' in TYFH site, and playing with emoticons.

Hi everyone, Thanks for all your messages, could'nt stay awake any longer last night. Will go and try Colins site. Joined the Ancestryaid site the other day, seem to have problems with it, I had to re-join with another password for some reason, I not sure if I'm going to the right places but could'nt find anyone in there, but I will keep trying, I do feel at home on GC though. :-) Maggie

Dee, I do not think that most people who are members of Colin's site have deserted this site - I think they have just kept a lower profile. GC is probably still the best genealogy site in the UK but there is a lot more choice than there used to be so people are spread more 'thinly' between the different sites. Russell

I'm with you there Maz. But the thing that upsets me most is that all those lovely people who used to be on here seem to have completely deserted GC for the "other site". We had such a good bunch on here this time last year...names that I knew and loved! It makes me really sad that this has happened. Dee :-(

I like the idea of more sites, but I automatically sign on to GC/R everyday, then try the others if there is trouble

im pleased too that their are choices in more sites also pleased colin has used some ideas too from the AA free site. Hope he finds them successfull. chris

Seems to be up the spout at the moment. Also, I have been waiting for a response to a 'contact us' query for days now. Have earlier this morning put a 2nd 'chaser' message on, now I can't get in at all. Although I do look in at Colin's site, I will always go to GC first - I feel very at home here, part of the family. In any 'club' or group of people (all very different with different lives and opinions) there will be arguments and disagreements - that's just how life is and this site reflects that! Maz. XX

Hello Jenny and Anne, Colin is offering a 7 day free trial at the moment. I would love to view this site, but it only allows me to log in, and then directs me to subscription, then cant accept my details! Frustrating or what????

I tried to join when it started but couldn't even register my name although I have my tree on tribalpages and legacy as well so I dont really want to put my tree on there, it takes too long to add new people to three trees as it is. jenny x

I belong to both sites but colin has just installed a new chat room and we do have fun. I meet people from gc on there and its all very friendly, your missing out if you dont give it a try Julia

Ican get in to he site but do not find it easy when I get there, I haven't managed to chat with anyone yet so I can't comment on that. I must contact Colin, I must be doing something wrong. June

I had a couple of probs just minutes ago pat ,but got in on the second attempt ,i put it down to being a newby on the site.Fred.ptfg.
