I wonder how much of 'ourselves' we put into our village character. Before you ask, I'm not looking for a man as in 2 weeks time will have been married 33 years. That does make me a bit older than some here but I really hope I'm not seen as so drippy as my schoolteacher.

Hi Gwynne (headmistress) Quite a lot of me is in my character. I am a qualified teacher and I also run 5 youth theatre groups. I do like vodka and I never wear pink. Plus I can walk in a straight line in 4 inch heels. (Please can I be a bridesmaid?) PC Orlando is my Chatston boyfriend, named after Orlando Bloom. (big sigh) I liked the Chatston pub quiz because I go to one every Sunday night. Gwynne

My character is based on 2 separate nursery teachers I once had the miss-fortune to work with. Man and drink mad! I, on the other hand, am sweet and demure and would never run after a man or get drunk!?!?!?! LOL Viv the nympho nursery teacher.

I hate sherry, work as a medical researcher, haven't been to a pub in about 5 years. I write plays for Community Theatres and do puppeteering for local churches. My hair is red though (£6.99 from Clairol) and I am nearer a size 20 than 12 (er - much nearer). I once broke my leg jumping off a 20 foot wall. My husband says I must point out that Gin evaporates in our house. How much of this is like Landlady Annie? - er - oh yeah, my Grandmother WAS called Rose Lee and she did have the second sight but I channel all my spiritual stuff through the church and would run a mile from a Rune or a tea leaf! Fun though isn't it, just a small sherry before I go back to the Duck Annie

Oh, if we're being serious then - my better half also retired early for health reasons - from teaching at university. But he doesn't know he was a vicar on here! Joy

Oh OK! being totally honest here My husband is on long term sick with stress, he is a College lecturer ..................... (just gone on to half pay) This is my escape from reality, I am getting very comfortable with running a pub!
