So yesterday was the day that I got to see all the relics at Grandma's 100th birthday party..... she loved every minute of it and so did I.... It was the fiirst time that us cousins had been in the same room for 14 years.... 3 were missing.... 1 had a legitimate excuse as he was in the states on holiday but the other 2, who knows, 1 missing was my sister and she never even sent Grandma a birthday card.... COW!! But then we haven't spoken for years so I'm not going to waste my breath ranting about her!! There were loads of Kent photographers there so anyone who gets the KENT EXTRA will see a pic of us all..... I'm at the front in one sat on the floor with my neice on my knee next to Grandma!! That was my hardest bit.... seeing my neice in her wheelchair after the accident flying kites. Even the Major of Ashford turned up which made her feel like royality!! She loved every minute of it trust me but was very overwhelmed.... It was tough as some family were asking where Hubby was as they hadn't heard.... altho word had got round most of them so it was just the pitying looks to deal with which was really hard as I just wanted to scream!! :O) Now we just have to worry about the downward spiral as she is certain she won't make next year's birthday and Grandma usually gets what she wants!! Thanks for all the love you sent her..... she got about 120 cards and her house resembles 3 florist shops now....

It's a card they send now, not very impressive as it's pre printed..... but hey she loved it!!

Glad Grandma enjoyed her day, what an achievement! How about bringing the paper with you to next months meet for those of us that can't get to see it otherwise? Linda x
