I love crackers at Christmas and so does my little boy. He loves the things in them even though some are rubbish. Elfx

Must have crackers! I tend to but the dearer ones with slightly more useful gifts in than plastic charms. I had a small screwdriver set out of one that was ideal for mending specs. I saw some in the bumpf that comes with the Sunday papers that have whistles in with different notes - and a music sheet. The 'conductor' points at you when it's your turn to whistle (you each have numbers too) and you make 'music' I thought they would be brilliant for a boozy after dinner laugh but then I am a bit sad! Do you buy xmas crackers, or do you see them as a waste of money? have you ever had anything good out of the cracker?, would your xmas dinner be the same without the cracker sitting there?..
