Oh I don't know if I would be as lucky again!!! I'm persistent, that's all I can say. If something bugs me, it won't rest in my mind until I've solved it. Sucks if you want to sleep but your mind's still wide awake!! No wonder I don't sleep very well. Ever seen Friends.....? I'm like Monica but with genealogy instead of the cleaning obsession!

It's all Dad's fault. He is hopeless at remembering relatives etc!! My Great Uncle Ernie..... he's more alive to me now, even though he sadly passed away, as has his son. Too late. But at least he has surviving children!

that happened to me No one thought my Great Great Uncle Albert had any children but i saw the name Albert Mole on the website and emailed the person who put it there and it turned out that she is his Great Great Grandaughter. I'm going to meet her parents in a couple of weeks and hopefully meet her nearer xmas!

Wow wow wow wow! I've finally solved the picture problem. My nana had this photo album and in this album there was a relatively recent picture of 'M Perren'. Nana said this was Michelle Perren a distant cousin, but she never went further. For years, dad believed that his Uncle Ernie never had kids, but he did! I knew that that side of the family had settled in St Albans, through family, and whilst searching I found someone with the Perren surname born in St Albans in the 60s. I emailed him. Emailed the picture of Ernie Perren to him, he wasn't sure (even though the names are all the same). So I tried the last resort. Emailed a picture of M Perren, and got a reply tonight.... it's his sister!!! Wow!!! Mystery solved! I wonder why we lost contact from the 70s onwards. Nana didn't pass away until 99, but she was a stubborn as a mule sometimes!! (a very happy) Chloe
