IT'S OUT We took Susie to hospital on Monday morning for 9.00 to have her Hickman line out. After many delays and false starts she finally went to theatre at 4.50 and was back on the ward at 5.40. Her shortest appearance in theatre to date, but longer than the surgeon said. We did try to tell him that nothing goes straight forward with Susie, which he found out for himself. So the procedure took longer than usual with a lot of tugging and pulling to get the line out. Consequently, Susie is battered and bruised and in a great deal of pain, but the main thing is she's line free. There's only Susie inside her t-shirts now! They say it will take a couple of days to calm down but after that there should be no problems. The light is getting bigger at the end of that tunnel. Wendy
