Hi all, This site only seems to cover deaths from 1996-2002 at the moment. My father and husband are on there and I certainly didn't have them put on there. I think someone from the site must get them from the Ancestry site or go to the Family Records Centre in London and copy them. Gwen

Let's look on the bright side. Is this info available on any other free site? If you found anything useful, you could use it and then ask for a single look up for the reference. Brenda

all this site has done is taken 'death records'! great if that's what your looking for from mid 80's until now It has my 'step mother' on there 1931 - 2001, but she didn't marry my father until early 70's, she had a pevious marriage that her children were registered under My mother is on there under a certain name, but she never married into that name! My Nana is on there under her maiden name! but these were the names that the deaths were registered, by request! What hell in hopes chance do our ancestors have of finding us!!!!!!

Had a quick play on the site before it started to throw out error messages. Looked at Skillings, a name on which I'm doing a one name study. The entries there appear simply to be GRO deaths, since women are recorded under their married names. Site was last updated in April, so perhaps the webmaster is having problems (or there isn't one) Brenda

Christine, I have just been checking the site to see if there was any of mine there but I notice some of the names don't work, when you click on them nothing happens, i too got the time out notice. By the way I did not find any of mine. Its a very strange site I notice the people do not go back very far a lot of the ones I checked where deaths from 1980's to the present??? I also find it strange that no one on Genes (so far) seems to be a member, i agree you would think there should be some from this site if there membership is full. I tried to find a place on the to contact them couldnt find one. Its very perculiar. Sorry I cannot help you either, this is the first time I have heard about the site. Pat x

So what is its Address? I want to know if they have any of mine too! Beth :)

So far no-one has said that they are a member - surely on a site like GC you would think that someone would have joined. They have records of at least 4 members of my family - 3 immediate and one cousin - how??? - and not only how but why if no one can join

What site is this then? Beth :)

Christine Report 29 Sep 2004 21:38

Thanks Mandy Just wondered where they got their information from - if members of the site are giving them details who are they - they have records of my mum and dad on there and as far as I know I am the only one doing research - if some-one was researching my family this site would be one of the first they would join and there is no-one on here and even I haven't added the information they have....its very spooky

Christine, there was something about this when I first joined GR back in about April. I looked and found one relative of mine on there, but even though I emailed the site several times I never got an answer. And nobody seems to know how you become a member either! Mandy :)

I know I most probably shouldn't do this but this site has information on my immediate family and I am curious...I have posted a message on the tips board but I know some member may stick to one board. Are there any members of this site out there...they are not taking any new members so I wondered if anyone could look up one of my family entries for me. Many thanks Christine
