Aren't you blokes sensible - by sharing the workload, you ensure that your partners have energy/time left for the bedroom!

I agree with Carol, it's mainly down to circumstances. When my wife worked, we shared things fairly equally, but each preferred certain tasks - I did 90% of the cooking, she did most of the washing (we did our own ironing), and everything else pretty much split 50/50. Since she's been off work, she's started to do mors of the cooking, so it's about 50/50 now, but I still do my share. Theer ARE still couples out there, young and old, where the man does no housework. Find it very odd in this day and age that the woman would accept it.

Incidentally, I am now with my fiance after being widowed, and I spend hours on here, he spends hours on his laptop and neither of us do any housework. Thats why we can never find anything.

Who does the chores ect. depends on circumstances. Back in the 50s not a lot of women worked outside the home, so the man worked and the women stayed at home and did the rest. When both myself and hubby worked we shared the housework. Also hubby got rather annoyed whenever I asked him if I could do something, "You are an adult, dont ask me, just tell me" was his idea. I dont believe in the master slave scenario though, a marriage should be a partnership

saw on this morning that a couple changed their roles back to the roles in the 1950's where the women had to do as the men said in everything including doing all the house chores cooking and cleaning and looking after the children and the man was the master.is it like that for some couples now or would you go back to the 1950's and have a household like thatxxxx(:
