No Elaine I didn't, I used an envelope which was enclosed with the invoice, flattened it and sellotaped it to the box. I am doing this now with all Ad Mail, I am so sick of it. If the post comes when I am out when I get back home I have to force the door open over all this Junk Mail. It goes straight backin the box now using their pre-paid envelopes,or return to sender, I'm also waging war against licking envelopes, why don't firms use self seal envelopes much more healthy

Thanks Stump, there are a lot of con men out there doing this type of thing. I am hoping to stop others being annoyed by this type of scam. You and I can fight and tell 'em to get lost, but I worry about the weaker brethren who don't know what to do or are intimidated and pay up Rose

did you pay for the book to be returned? I would have sent a letter (unstamped or in their own envelope) with a note attatched saying that if the book had not been collected from you in say 2 weeks, then you would be throwing it away/keeping it/giving it to charity. E x

youv'e heard of cold calling havn't you- well I've just had a week trying to get rid of an unsolicited book. BE WARNED,THERE IS A SCAM GOING. .You may be sent a book that you havn't ordered and there will be an invoice in it. Mine was for £23.99. I had been given an account number et al. 1) I DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS FIRM 2) I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT ANYTHING FROM THEM BEFORE I have returned the book and got a cert of posting from the GPO. The law is that unsolicited mail DOES NOT have to be returned. However many people will pay these invoices for something they do not want and did not order. It is a sales pressure we need to be aware of. I have notified Trading Standards Rose
