Hi everyone, Well the evening was great, didn't sleep till 5 am and up at 7am so you can draw your own conclusions,it was a very good night!!! and i think it may be a happy ever after, as the brick walls in past relationships on both sides seem to be breaking down. He said he could quite easily fall in love with me, so he's made the first move. Its strange that i may have found my soul mate through dead people, due to the ancestors marriages, so were 5th cousins. It may have been the best £7.50 i have ever spent. When we met all of you at the Maidstone fair it was only the 2nd time i had met martyn, so if some of you spotted something, maybe it is right. Today we went to the Lewes Records office and i have found alot of my baptisms and marriages and i even saw the original marriage document of my gr gr grandmother and found her missing daughter. We also found the marriage of of the family connectiion that joins both of us.to be cousins, as i have offered to be the online parish clerk for east hoathly i will be going back quite a few times, today i just transcribed my family interest so that i could confirm my gr gr gr gr grandfather. so i stuck to the carleys/turners/russells and trills today. So at this moment in time, i am a very happy hunter. and it is such a lovely friendly records office. I do have some not good news my 2nd ex hubby is seriously ill and i'm waiting for my son to come home after driving to reading to see him, it looks like he is having major organ failure, heart, lungs and kidneys. I feel for my 2 kids he fathered steven is 19 and stephanie is 16 at the moment they are both staying in there home in Crawley but i can see a bit of upheaval coming. I hope he pulls through they will be devastated if not. have a great evening sandra

Hi Sandra Glad things are going well with you and Martin - I thought there was more of a connection with you and Martin when we met at Maidstone than just the family tree bit :-) - just call me Mystic meg :-) Hope you managed to get rid of your son for the evening and have a brill time at Lewes, I've been there a couple of times, its really good there, most of their parish records have been transcribed and the staff are really helpful. Sandra Lewes is a very small place and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Infact you feel like you have gone back in time just walking through the door. The only problem I had was finding the place. It's perched on top of the hill near the castle ruins. Sheila

Sandra, This all sounds very familiar! I have 3 daughters and they all seem to take it in turns "to come home for a while"! At the moment my eldest and her husband and 2yr old daughter are living with us until their new house is ready, hopefully when they move out next month we will have some time on our own. The house is going to feel awfully big!! Hope you enjoy your evening! Frances

What can I say? I have a houseful so I can only imagine how tranquil life must have been until this week! Enjoy your day in Lewes. Have you been before? They have a card index of baptisms which may help you to find your lost person. Have a lovely day.

I may be mum and nanny but at 42 yrs i still have a life.i was just hoping after 8 years it might be a partner moving in not the kids. I'll get my own back one day!!! It just a pain he was in a live in job. Oh Well i have to be good to the kids, they are the ones that choose the nursing home lol sandra

Oh Sandra - typical isn't it! Why did he quit his job today, and what makes him presume that it's up to you to support him when the whim takes him to quit his job? I'd be plotting revenge. Wait til he's 'out on the town' and turn up at the pub where you know he's trying to 'pull'. Then, when you know he's going to have a romantic evening in - invite yourself around!!! maggie
