Roundabouts... we have bl**dy hundreds of them here. Rules are as follows 1. Give way to traffic coming from the right. 2. get in the appropriate lane - left to turn left, right to turn right, to go straight ahead use the middle lane if there is one, otherwise the left hand lane - unless it's a dual carriageway in which case you can usually use any lane. 3. any exceptions to the above will be marked on the road. 4. indicate left to turn left, right to turn right. Do not indicate right when going straight across the roundabout. 5. when you are approaching your exit, at which point indicate left.

PinkDiana

PinkDiana Report 1 Oct 2004 11:53

Paul, we've been discussing this and your number 1 point.... isn't it give way to traffic from the right that is actually on the roundabout? Otherwise you could be sat there all day!!

see, thats why women get rear ended (ooerr) at roundabouts, they think they hve to wait until the road is totally clear. Yes, traffic on, or in the process of joining the roundabout.

Tallulah

Tallulah Report 1 Oct 2004 16:35

Liza, if the goods are faulty then you are entitled to a refund but if you are returning something that there is nothing wrong with then the shop is not legally obliged to offer an exchange, let alone a refund, this in short is the "sale of goods act".
