The house next door to us in Sherborne was a holiday home for Londoners. When they arrived she was so perfect in every manicured way we said he kept her wrapped in tissue paper and only brought her out for the wekends. Rose

Must admit i was tempted to watch it but with the state of my marriage i couldn't bear the thought of someone telling these women how to behave!! I know it makes good TV but when are we going to have "Make me a perfect HUSBAND?"

Hi All, I can't think of anything more retrograde can you. My generation spent years fighting for recognition aand getting out from under male domination. Example: I got to University after a real hard slog, to read Maths,in our very first lecture the male lecturer said' Good Morning Gentlemen, and with a dismissive hand,Girls do your knitting.' Which of course brought the house down. Mind you I am intrigued I wonder how the males in the prog will get on. Should be interesting. Rose

There's a programme on TV (channel four) right now called 'Make Me A Perfect Wife' where men get to make the rules for the wifes to live by. Sounds very interesting. Will let you know what I think once I've watched it! Joanne
