hi carol, depends on the network your on...ie..orange/vodaphone etc..with orange, you need to register....but you said the phone worked perfectly for two months,so why is it playing up now? take it apart...wipe the sim card...blow into phone...put back together, and try again....if still a problem, contact network supplier....as has been said, might need registering...takes two minutes on the phone....good luck. bryan

No Maz, she had to buy a sim card. I didn't register the phone. Will I be able to get it fixed do you think? Thanks. Carol.

Hello, clutching at straws here but wonder if anybody can help. My daughter has a Nokia 3200, which I bought, brand new, and still boxed and sealed, from a friend of a friends friend (!). She bought a new sim card and for the first 2 months or so, everything was fine. Now, she cannot receive or make calls. When I dial the number it is a long sound (like on a landline when you have been cut off). However, she can still receive text messages - and probably send them if she ever has any credit!! I have looked through the instruction booklet that came with the phone, but there is no troubleshooting guide. Does anybody have any ideas?? Any help appreciated. Thanks and best wishes, Carol.
