this parking charge lark is getting out of control.i have heard on the news today that it will cost you nine pounds to park all day on brighton sea front because they want people to travel by public transport.the majority of people who visit live miles away and i for one wouldn't like to travel from portsmouth to brighton on a bus or train.would you apy that and are charges high in your area.in some parts of portsmouth they charge six pounds a dayxxxx(:

don't live in Brighton so don't really care that much, but surely there are multi-storeys/park and ride's ? Saying that, it's prevalent everwhere now, you can pay that much to park for a day in Milton keynes shopping centre if you park in the wrong place

I totally agree about hospitals !! At MK hospital you pay 1.50 for 4 hours or £3 for all day... when you're there most days for 12 weeks it costs a lot of money !! Last time I went to Brighton I parked in a multi storey just off the seafront, can't recall it being expensive (but then we didng't stay long - HUGE thunderstorm)

we always get to Brighton seafront after 6 as it is free to park then and it's usually less busy then too. The only other carparks i know of in Brighton are NCP which cost a bomb. Shelli
