Dilys you carry on and boast away..... I too am proud of all of my childrens achievments and love to shout them from the roof tops!! You Go for it,,,, I'd be proud too if my son was excellent at chess. Oh and congratulations too Lisa for your sons recent poetry achievment :-) Boasting is fine,, what I dont like is the parents whos children are 'perfect' and never do wrong!! I'm sure you all agree.... I will now have a little Boast of my own.... My Eldest started University two weeks ago and I am soooo proud..... but he is a lazy get and can be moody as hell and at times downright obnoxiuos..... LOL Another boast is another of my sons has just started college... he had septicimia when he was 10 weeks old and was left with a whole heap of problems and two years ago couldnt even spell his surname I'm proud of that too!! My other kids however are all driving me to distraction this week, but hang in there and next week I'll be back with a wee boast about them too!! LOL Shaz x

Dilys i enjoy hearing of others achievements, whether its a child or an adult, i don't call it boasting, just sharing your good news with others, so please boast as much as you like, i will always listen, i'm a mum and nanny and Katie almost 8 months managed to move her baby walker on her own yesterday, as her nanny i am proud and boastful. lol Sandra ps i enjoy chess to, though its been years since i played.

Just listened to 'Woman's Hour' and would like to lodge an apology for boasting about son's chess, to people who don't know him and would not care! I will shut up in future, promise......... Off to Alicante on Sat and back to the sun (not boasting!).
