Congrats on becoming a "grandma" Sara! My cats (several generations) had their kittens in various places but usually chose the bed - either on top of the new duvet or under it - I put a thick blanket on the floor of my wardrobe and placed mommy with kittens in there where it was dark and warm and she stayed until they were old enough to move around - then it was all over the house with them! - up the curtains, up the furniture, under your feet (especially at feeding time) but I would never have missed the experience of seeing them go from the size of your thumb when first born with eyes closed etc to beautiful fluffy bundles of fun who find a leaf exciting and practice their stalking on your fluffy slippers - Enjoy Sara - but do keep an eye out sometimes more come a while later - but if she shows signs of distress or looks poorly get her to the vet immediately in case one is stuck. A magic time for you - Maggie

Pregnant cats always decide where they want to have their kittens, and they usually keep them somewhere they consider safe. If she has more, she'll know exactly where they are. 14 years ago, my next door neighbour's cat snuck into our house and up to our bedroom to have hers - I didn't realise she was about to give birth & put her out in the middle of the night when I heard her. The next day I discovered she'd had 4 kittens and refused to go to them when they were taken into her owners house. They had to be put into our garden so she would nurse them and we had to adopt them until they were old enough to leave their mother. Our neighbour agreed to let us keep 2 of them. 4 months later, she had another litter and decided to bring them in to me during a thunderstorm - all 7 of them!

This morning at 6.30 I woke to find one kitten in my bedside draw, I tryed to put it in her cat box but she did,nt want it there and has now put it back under the bed, so I have left her there for the time being, I have spoken to the vet and will keep an eye on her today to see if anymore kittens appear, although she is not showing anymore signs there are more to come . Regards Sara

When my cat was pregnant it was visible. I could also feel the kittens moving inside her. I would keep an eye on her, As she has not been spayed, I would think it likely that she could be pregnant. If she is pregnant, she could be giving birth prematurley. When my cat was in labour, she made lots of noise, and made strange jerking movements with her body! I hope she is ok. Keep us informed!! p.s I will have a kitten if she has some!! Pat

Sara, Check she's not been injured at all. I'd take her to the vet to get checked out and get spayed as soon as possible though. Crista

I have a forteen month old female cat , who is really only a bay herself , but she is acting rather strange tonight , she does not want to got out, cant blame her its going to be very cold, but she is now behind my sofa and meowing alot, she is,nt very big or fat in the tummy as you would expect, so does anyone think she could be having kitten just maybe one or two thats why she isn,t very big, she is eating ok. regards Sara
