have been collecting Daily express free cd roms, have loaded them on computer XP and they all say your sound card is not installed properly. Disappointed children . What do I do any advice? Kim

NOT TAKING THE MICK BUT HAVE YOU THOUGHT THAT MAYBE IT ISN'T INSTALLED PROPERLY? IF IT IS FINE WITH EVERYTHING ELSE IT COULD BE A COMPATABILITY ISSUE. TRY READING THE READ ME FILE THAT I IMAGINE COMES WITH THE SOFTWARE AND THEY USUALLY HIGHLIGHT ISSUES WITH CERTAIN CARDS, THIS IS UNFORTUNATELY QUITE COMMON.

I have triied reinstalling them , they look like the genuine Dorling kindersley Kids series ? Just wonder as the other games my son had stopped working a while ago too. Just the normal "XXX has encountered a problem and needs to close type stuff." is it more likely to be a problem with the Cd romdrive or with the discs? They play my family history discs ok but then they have no sound!! Andy, I have read the Read me file , but still get the sound software error message. I get normal windows sounds whilst using the computer so its not the speakers. Yours with no inspirations! Kim

Out on a limb, have you tried a lens cleaner recently?
