I've just got back from the town. I was hoping to get most of the presents, so spent four hours trudging around the shops and apart from a few Christmas cards, guess what I came home with....NOTHING! Grrrrrr! Jo. |

You should buy things the whole year and put them away. I have bought all sorts of things for birthdays etc. Whenever I see something original I buy it without having somebody in mind for it. Sylvia xxx |

Hi Jo, Sorry, I'm feeling very self-righteous! I'v actually started wrapping pressies! I'm halfway through the shopping, got all my cards, wrap, ribbons, etc today. Like Sylvia, I've been stocking up all year. Whenever I see something original or unique I grab it. It spreads the cost, and hopefully will save me from those killer last minute marathon treks round the malls! I've never done it this way but it's worked for me. It also means I have a ready stock of pressies for unexpected birthdays, etc. I'm going to have a lovely lie-in tomorrow am, flicking through all my Xmas mags! x |
