It is a well known fact that in days gone by boys as young as 9 would be part of the crew. It is also well documented that women sometimes signed on disguised as men, or accompanied their men on voyages. I just wondered if there were any known instances of young girls signing on as Midshipmen or Loblolly Boys? Jim
