Kevin - Whereas the surname 'Parson' denoted a 'priest' or 'parson', the final 's' on the name indicated 'one who lived or worked at the parsonage' or 'servant of the parson'. And you're right, first occurrence it shows is 1210! Unfortunately my book doesn't show coats of arms! Sheila

G'DAY, CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THE MEANING OF PARSONS. I WAS TOLD AND HAVE A SHEILD/ CREST WITH 3 SUNS( as in sky) ON IT . APPARENTLY DATES BACK TO AROUND 1210. LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU. KEVIN PARSONS AUSTRALIA.
