Well today I kept myself amused my walking round Mortlake cemetary for another GR member. Unfortunately could not find the grave he wanted which was disappointing, so many stones were complete illegible. I did take some pics of other old graves however so if anyone ever needs any stones frm Mortlake you never know, there's a tiny weeny chance I might have it!

I'm an impatient person too! I order my certs online via the GRO link on 1837, and at the moment they're arriving within the week. I do usually get on with another branch (or twig!)while I'm waiting for a cert. Mandy :)

gnaw my fingernails (not really!), wish I had a cigarette ... usually order them from the register office which, usually, in my experience, is much quicker. Joy

Anybody else get really impatient and frustrated waiting for certs to arrive from the GRO? Desperate to get those certs so I can dig some more! Didn't arrive in the post this morning so what to do? If I was more of an expert like some of you lot I would do some digging into some other people's stuff. I have only been doing this for a few weeks and I am hooked already, but thanks to all the people on GR have already learned a lot more than I ever thought possible :) So how do you guys cope with the waits for certificates? Do you just start work on another branch or stay focussed? My problem is I've alway wanted everything in a hurry lol...heaven help me when I get far back enough that I won't be able to get any certificates, but with my Nan being one of 17 kids (well I guess they didn't have TV back in those days....) I think it will be a fair while :)
