We have just returned from a week in Staffordshire and went to visit this beautiful house. Anyone who hasn't been and lives near should go! The grounds are so beautiful, even in the rain. The house is just something else and the guides very friendly and knowledgeable. It was the highlight of my week. Wish I lived nearer, I would be there at least once a week. Anyone on here who lives near.... you are soooo lucky!

Lovely to see you back Eileen. Glad you had a nice time. I'll bet if everyone could see the beautiful island you live on they'd all be saying it's you that's the lucky one! Christine

I visited Chatsworth first ,as a teenager, many years ago. I have been back on each visit to Derbyshire. I cannot imagine ever tiring of such awonderful house or such beautiful gardens. I see they are opening the house in December decorated for Christmas. If you go visit the farm shop. The game pie was wonderful, as were the chocolates! Rosemary(Essex)
