Thank you all for your thoughts!! Lynda As you know my hubby died last year.. I am now hoping to move on with my life, I feel ready now. I thought I would want to stay where I was, but although I have security, another part of me wants a complete change. I am not really happy in my job any more, and have no real love for Brighton. I love Scotland, and have always said I thought I would end up there It's a descision I have to mull over!!

I would'nt change the present, but I would like to change the past. Does that make sence? oh well I know what I mean. Hey Ho Jo.

Its tough isn't it. Yes I would love to leave all behind and make a fresh start. I see sunshine and feel warm breezes and buying from markets to prepare fresh meals daily. But my dream includes all of my sons and their families, and I could not leave my beloved grandchildren behind. So its be thankful for what I have, a loving husband who is great fun,12 years my junior(Who could ask for more) and a raft of sons and grandsons. I'm happy Rose

As others have suggested, it's very rare that you can start with a clean slate. Depending how you look at it, if you have no one else to consider you are a lucky/unlucky person (delete as appropriate).

Well now, that would depend on whether I thought the change would be beneficial to me and my family. I've got an 80-year-old mother and two sons to consider, as well as a husband. Plus, as the saying goes - be careful what you wish for, it might come true! nell

I seriously considered doing so once. What decided me against was the number of people who were dependent on me at the time. Len

If I had the chance of totally changing my life,it would have to include my family.I am happy with my lot but I would grab the chance to better ourselves with both hands. If only I knew how!
