The film I could never watch again is "Judgment at Nuremberg" quite horrific scenes of torture, made me cry for days, especially the scenes where they took twin boys aged around 10 or 11, and regularly beat one around the head to see how his behaviour would change compared to his brother. Terrible. Belle.

Jacky, when you mentioned Deliverance I remembered one of the scariest bits for me, and I know this is going to sound terrible. Do you remember when "Drew" is introduced to that banjo-playing boy? And the boy just stares? Believe it or not, that really gives me the creeps! The camera then goes to someone else, before coming back to that boy - again, just staring. Can't watch that bit. I'm ashamed to admit it really, 'cos I'm no oil painting by any means. I'd find it hard watching West Side Story again, as it's so very sad. Old I know, but sad. Glenys.

Sophie's Choice. I cried so much in the part she had to choose which one of her children would live and which would die. Maxine

The opening scenes from 'Saving Private Ryan' - the terror of the troops was palpable. The horror of war - I don't think any other film has captured it in quite the same way. It affected me for days. Magsx

Deliverance. I can't even remember why now but I just know I avoid it when on. Jacky

Just to add to Beth's thread: What film touched you so hard you could never watch it again?
