I also love the irish accent - the southern irish is soft but northern is a bit harsher but still equally great to listen to!!! |

i agree with the NI accent being harsher,prefer Southern,perhaps its because my dad's from there |

When I saw the title of the thread, straightaway I clicked to add that Irish is my absolutely favourite accent ... so I couldn't believe how many people thought the same thing! I could definitely listen to an Irishman all day long, would keep my eyes closed if he was ugly lol! Mandy :) |

Yep I also like the Irish acent, but I hate mine....most people think it's a brummy one but have to put them right it's Walsall, still sounds awful from me :( Bev |

David, there's a great book out called "LARN YERSEL GEORDIE". I had a good laugh at it, being a geordie lass. Phrases such as "HOWAT THEN SPARRASANKLES" meaning, would you like to dance. |
