As long as both parties are willing, then yes. Very often successful. But you hear stories of women being tricked abroad and then forced into marriage - that obviously is very wrong. I was free to choose my own partner and that's just failed. Perhaps I should get my family and friends to choose someone for me, might have more luck. Kx

I think that people should not be forced into them, but should go into them willingly. They do work. I think it's more difficult in the West because children seem to have less restrictions on them and more choices about them.
