An Olde Crone

Pink Diana - I can find ANYBODY! Sorry about all the spitting, Ive stopped now. I found the marriage at about 1 am last night, I live on my own and I just HAD to tell someone.Whats really, really spooky about this, about 9pm last night my brother emailed me to say he was dismantling his computer cos he's moving house tomorrow, and the next time I hear from him will be from an Internet cafe somewhere near the Records Office. He has moved from Norfolk where he has lived for 20 years, to Manchester, mainly so he is on hand to research our tree which had got very stuck. Four hours later I find this marriage we have searched for for five years - but Ive got no way of telling him, and its almost as if James and Ellen knew the game was up at last and decided to show themselves before he landed on their doorstep so to speak! Thankyou everyone for your congratulations - I do hope it gives all you other "brickies" some encouragement, I had really given up on this one, having exhausted all possibilities - I was even considering sending for a cert which would have made him eleven years old when he married!

What a wonderful feeling - it so puts you on a high doesn't it? Success like this also encourages and fuels all of us that are flacking with our own brickwalls. It can be done. It will be found lol. Congrats Marjorie. Much happiness Debi ( who is now off to chip away at her brick wall )

Oh my god! Ive been looking for the marriage of my 2x grandparents for FIVE years, absolutely nothing, beginning to think they werent married but she was a very devout woman so it was niggling me - just did a routine check on Freebmd, which I do about once a fortnight - AND THERE IT IS!!!!!!At last I will find out who HIS father is (I hope). Im so happy I could spit! I had despaired of this, in fact he's on the brickwall exchange, I can take him off now!AND - Ive always suspected there was something a bit odd about their first child, he didnt get treated as well as the two younger ones, well, looks as if he's not "their" child as he was born four years before the marriage. Oh, who cares, I'll worry about that another day.
