You could ask your doctor to see if there is another hospital with a shorter list.

yeah i went private for my appendix op but my mum had it all included with her job, so we dont have the money to do it now....think i will do that though and keep phoning em!! xx

i agree with di.the n.h.s have long waiting lists.the only alternative is to go privatexxxx(:

If you are able to go for an appointment at short notice, phone the scan department and tell you would be available for a cancellation. Or if you phone frequently to see where you are on the list, you may just get in a bit quicker. Good luck Jacky

Trouble is the NHS waiting list is awful.... one good thing is they don't think its serious enough to rush you in!! You could always fake lots of pain and turn up at A&E.... have heard of others doing it all the time!!

Just had a call from my docs and they said that they cant fit me in for my scan until 3 months time!! i think thats a little bit too long dont you? i have to have a scan on my ovaries cos my doc thinks there is something wrong with them!
