We are getting more and more windmills here. They must be doing overtime at the moment with all this wind! Sylvia xxx

I watched 'Day after tomorrow' last night - SCARY!!! Worst of it was, while we were watching the film - outside we had thunder; then the wind started howling and then the heavens opened - we had our own REAL special effects!!

I wonder which country will have the first baby with webbed feet? Sylvia xxx

Assuming that change is happening, the UK Government seems paralysed by opposing interests. The major action that could be taken in the UK is to eliminate the use of fossil fuels in electricity generation. The Government won't expand nuclear power for fear of upsetting the green lobby. It won't expand (introduce) tidal power for fear of upsetting the naturalists. It will push wind power which is unreliable and will entail covering the entire country with windmills. It won't act to reduce air travel for fear of upsetting package tour holidaymakers. It prefers to see traffic stuck in jams than upset the environmental lobby by helping it move freely and efficiently. What a bunch of losers!

Watch the film The Day after Tomorrow - just received it on DVD - for one version of what COULD happen. Melting ice caps lower sea temp, destroy gulf stream and herald new ice age. Great film too! 2 disc editions (wot I treated myself to) has a section covering the actual 'science' behind it. Maz. XX

Over the next decade or so, with ice melting and pieces of land returning to the sea, how do you think our offspring are going to cope. I think for a start they will be born with webbed feet and will of course be swimmers! Any thoughts anyone? Sylvia xxx
