Yes, I too didn't realise how poorly she was. I would like to extend sympathy to all her family and friends, she was only a few years older than me.....and I'm planning my next twenty years!

what i should have said was that i did not realise HOW ill she had been, due to the fact that the paper implied she would return as she was on the mend. Tricia

Its very sad about Linda Lee-Potter,I read her column frequently She was a very "Gutsy Lady" and will be missed,She told it as it was, and made a lot of people Squirm.Especially about Their own Publicity.

My mother was a fan of hers and read her column every Weds. For the last month or two, it announced that she would return soon, so it seemed obvious that she had been ill but the announcement suggested that she was on the mend. From what I read of her, I got the impression she didn't suffer fools gladly, held sometimes provocative opinions but was always an interesting read. She will be missed.

I, too, was saddened to hear of her death, it is always a shock, especiallly when you do not know that the person had been ill. Tricia

What a fantastic lady and journalist. Always said it how it was and a real champion of the underdog. I was really saddened to hear she had passed away after a secret fight against a brain tumour. My Wednesday mornings reading the Daily Mail will never be the same.
