An Olde Crone

An Olde Crone Report 21 Oct 2004 19:28

I received a CD today from someone which contains 12 "folders". I have successfully opened and read eleven, but the last one stops half-way and a message comes on the screen saying "This file appears to be corrupted. Do you wish to continue downloading?" Well, do I? What does corrupted mean? Will it make my pooter poorly? I desperately need to see into this file!

Did you virus scan the CD before you started downloading from it?? if not suggest that you do before you continue.

i don't think it will hurt your comp. but if you do manage to download it you may not be able to see what it says, corrupted means a flaw of some kind. mind you some computer boffin may correct me if i am wrong which is possible as i am not a boffin myself:-) Tricia
