kb, no offence taken. Sue, the Historic quay is the most popular tourist attraction in the N.E. Everyone who works on the Quay is dressed in period costume, you can go on board ships ,visit the free museum and a nice gift shop. As for eating out, you just have to go over the other side of the Marina and there are some of the best eating places, Italian, Indian, Chinese, fish and chips or a lovely new place just opened on board a ship, I think it's called The Moorings or something similar. Anyway I hope you have LOVELY TIME and let me know if you enjoyed it.

Hiya kb, Dalton Park is approx 7 miles north of Hartlepool up the A 19 to MURTON. Haven't been but my daughters have and they say there are some lovely gift shops there. One of my daughters gave me lovely towels with faries on them that she had bought there. Maureen

Sue, I live in Hartlepool, but there's not actually a place called The Quays. As far as I know The Quays shopping center is in either North or South Shields. We do have The Historic Quay which is an outdoor museum and very interesting. There are so many places to eat at, including aboard some ships, that you'll be spoilt for choice. If this is where your going I hope you enjoy it because we're proud of our Marina. If you would like names of some eating places let me know. Maureen
